Begotten Projection Design
A projection designed as a background for the play “Begotten.” The play was written by a student at Xavier University and produced at Xavier University in Spring of 2016. The Art Direction called for incorporation of Marc Chagall’s stained glass windows, designed into a new stained glass circular composition. The pieces of Chagall’s stained glass windows were specifically chosen to align to the religious allegories that were delineated within the play. The symbolism was crucial for this play because it helped reinforce and set the mood being portrayed by each actor. For each scene, the projection zeroed in on specific vignettes of the overall image to further express thematics being acted out.
