BREAK/BROKE

Designed as a two-sided accordion artist book, Break/Broke details the five stages of a breakup from two perspectives: if you were broken up with (broke), or if you broke up with them (break). With an audience of females in their 20s that are circulating and dealing with the dating world, Break/Broke is designed to act as a ‘guide’ through the stages, in order to ultimately help women deal with breakups. The book simplifies the concurrence of a breakup, and the little phrases that come common with such a feat. Additionally, the bright, specific color selections help separate each stage to emphasize the emotion that is prevalent in each stage, from a color-theory ideology and emotional perspective. Designed with color pops and simplistic language, Break/Broke is a quick satirical flip through that can act as a funny gift for someone.
