Wayfinding Design for Mt. Adams
Designed to provide helpful directional information for the Mount Adams area, this wayfinding system design acts as a guide to citizens and visitors alike. The designed system appeals to users through the clear, easy-to-follow designs, color palette & physical implementation in both 3D and 2D scales. Additionally, the redesigned mark for Mt. Adams provides a level of recognition for the neighborhood that is also carried out within the wayfinding system. Mt. Adams is a culturally significant neighborhood of Cincinnati that has been around since the 1800s. Known for being set up on a hill that overlooks the entirety of the Cincinnati skyline, the neighborhood is quaint, has a plethora of unique businesses and restaurants, and beautiful views. Locals refer to the area as “the hill,” and the name ‘Adams’ honors President John Quincy Adams. The system is developed with the intention of longevity, while also be refreshing and encompassing the whole that is Mt. Adams. The wayfinding system includes: A logo, color palette, map, crosswalk design, sidewalk implementation, building/wall implementation, line work motif, and icon design.
